Τα ΦΑΒΟΡΙ σύμφωνα με τις ΑΠΟΔΟΣΕΙΣ
Στο νέο κουπόνι της ΟΠΑΠ Α.Ε. που κυκλοφορεί, υπάρχουν οι αποδόσεις του ΝΙΚΗΤΗ ΔΙΟΡΓΑΝΩΣΗΣ στο Πάμε Στοίχημα Μπέιζμπολ, εγκαινιάζοντας έτσι τυπικά τη νέα σεζόν της MLB. Είναι βέβαια νωρίς να πούμε από τώρα ποιά ομάδα θα καταφέρει στο τέλος της σεζόν να κατακτήσει το πρωτάθλημα. Οι επίσημοι αγώνες ξεκινούν την Πρωταπριλιά και ήδη οι ομάδες βρίσκονται στο στάδιο προετοιμασίας πάιζοντας βέβαια και αρκετά φιλικά παιχνίδια.
Οι μισές ομάδες προετοιμάζονται στην Αριζόνα, διαγωνιζόμενες μεταξύ τους σε ένα άτυπο πρωτάθλημα την Cactus League, ενώ οι υπόλοιπες στη Φλόριντα, στο άτυπο πρωτάθλημα της Grapefruit League. Η αλήθεια είναι πως δεν μπορεί κάποιος να βγάλει επαρκή συμπεράσματα βλέποντας τις βαθμολογίες των πρωταθλημάτων αυτών. Είναι λογικό στην προετοιμασία οι ομάδες να κάνουν δοκιμές, να δοκιμάζουν σχήματα, Pitchers και βέβαια να μην πιέζουν αγωνιστικά τους παίκτες-κλειδιά. Θα έχουν άλλωστε μπροστά τους έναν "γολγοθά" 162 αγωνιστικών της κανονικής περιόδου, οπότε είναι υποχρεωμένοι οι προπονητές να φτιάξουν τα πλάνα τους με διαφορετικούς στόχους. Μην ξεχνάμε ότι υπάρχουν τραυματισμοί ακόμα και στη διάρκεια της προςτοιμασίας. Όλα αυτά αναμένεται να παίξουν το ρόλο τους, προσθέτοντας βέβαια στη σκέψη μας και τις μεταγραφές που πραγματοποιήθηκαν στη διάρκεια της χειμερινής διακοπής.
Μια πρώτη εικόνα που έχουμε και από το κουπόνι της ΟΠΑΠ όσο και από τις αποδόσεις που ήδη κυκλοφόρησαν στο Λας Βέγκας, μας επιτρέπει να πούμε πως τα λογικά φαβορί για την κατάκτηση του πρωταθλήματος συμπίπτουν πάνω - κάτω στο μυαλό των μπουκμέικερς. Στην πρώτη λοιπόν εξάδα των ομάδων που χρήζονται ως φαβορί βλέπουμε τους Ντιτρόιτ Τάιγκερς, Τορόντο Μπλου Τζέις, Ουάσιγκντον Νάσιοναλς, Σινσινάτι Ρεντς και τις δύο ομάδες του Λ.Άντζελες, Έιντζελς και Ντότζερς.
Ειδικά για την κατάκτηση της πρωτιάς στην American League, προηγούνται - πάντα σύμφωνα με τις αποδόσεις των μπουκμέικερς στο Λας Βέγκας - οι Τορόντο Μπλου Τζέις με απόδοση 4.75, οι Ντιτρόιτ Τάιγκερς με 5.25 ενώ οι Λ.Α. Έιντζελς είναι τρίτοι σε απόδοση με 5.50.
Στην National League πιθανοί νικητές φέρονται οι Ουάσινγκτον Νάσιοναλς με 4.50 απόδοση και ακολουθούν Λ.Α. Ντότζερς με 5 και οι Σινσινάτι Rεντς με 7.

Στην AL West Divison, πρώτο φαβορί είναι οι Λ.Α. Έιντζελς με απόδοση 1.67 και ακολουθούν οι Τέξας Ρέιντζερς με 3.25, οι Όκλαντ Αθλέτικς με 6, οι Σιάτλ Μάρινερς με 16 και ουραγοί όπως όντως είναι αναμενόμενο άλλωστε οι Χιούστον Άστρος με 51 απόδοση.
Στην κορυφή της NL East όσον αφορά τις αποδόσεις ως φαβορί είναι οι Ουάσινγκτον Νάσιοναλς με απόδοση 1.91, με τους Ατλάντα Μπρέιβς να ακολουθούν με 3.25. Κοντά σχετικά στις προτιμήσεις οι Φιλαδέλφεια Φίλις με 4 απόδοση. Ουραγοί σε αυτήν την Division οι Ν.Υ. Μετς με 16 και οι Μαϊάμι Μάρλινς με 41.
Στη NL Central οι μπουκμέικερς "βλέπουν" φαβορί τους Σινσινάτι Ρεντς προσφέροντας απόδοση 1.71 με τους Σ. Λούις Κάρντιναλς να ακολουθούν με 3.25. Οι Μιλγουόκι Μπρούερς έχουν απόδοση 7.50, οι Πίτσμπουτγκ Πάιρετς 11 και τελέυταίοι οι Σικάγο Καμπς με 16.
Στην NL West προσφέρονται ως πρώτο φαβορί οι Λ.Α. Ντότζερς με απόδοση 1.80 και τους ακολουθούν οι περσινοί πρωταθλητές Σ. Φρανσίσκο Τζάιεντς με 2.75. Οι Αριζόνα Ντάιαμοντμπακς έχουν 7.50, οι Σ. Ντιέγκο Πάντρες 16, ενώ οι ουραγοί Κολοράντο Ρόκις προσφέρονται με απόδοση 23.
